Manama, July 30 (QNA) – Bahrain strongly condemned the renewed Iranian attacks on civilian and vital infrastructure in Kuwait, which targeted a building belonging to a Chinese company in the north of the country and resulted in the death of one worker. It added that the attacks constitute a blatant violation of Kuwait’s sovereignty, a direct threat to its security and the safety of its civilians, a grave breach of international law and the Charter of the United Nations, and a flagrant violation of Security Council Resolution 2817.
In a statement today, the Bahraini Foreign Ministry affirmed Bahrain’s full solidarity with Kuwait and its unwavering support in confronting these heinous and unjustified attacks. Bahrain also expressed its full support for all legitimate measures taken by Kuwait to safeguard its sovereignty, security, stability, and territorial integrity, emphasizing that Kuwait’s security and stability are an integral part of the security of Bahrain and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states.
The Ministry reiterated Bahrain’s call for the international community, particularly the Security Council, to assume its responsibilities by taking urgent, deterrent, and decisive measures to compel Iran to comply with international law and the Charter of the United Nations, to stop its repeated terrorist attacks against the countries of the region and their peaceful peoples, to respect the sovereignty and security of states, and to guarantee the freedom and safety of maritime navigation, in a manner that contributes to de-escalation and the enhancement of regional and international security and stability.
