Amman, Nov. 12 (Petra) – The Lower House of Representatives unanimously picked members for its 20 permanent committees, marking the first consensus of its kind in the history of Jordan’s parliamentary councils.
In a session held Wednesday and chaired by House Speaker Mazen Qadi, the lawmakers communally agreed to elect the new panels, covering the various parliamentary activities.
During its first ordinary session, the House had previously agreed to pick committee heads and members.
