Crystal Palace Agree £26m Deal for
Spanish Winger Yeremy Pino

London, 27 Aug (ONA) — Crystal
Palace have reached an agreement in principle with Villarreal for the transfer
of Spanish international winger Yeremy Pino in a deal that could rise to £26
million. The 22-year-old is understood to be receptive to the move to Selhurst
Park and is scheduled to undergo a medical in the coming days.

Although Pino possesses a €69 million
release clause in his contract, Villarreal have opted to accept Palace’s offer
with the player’s current deal having less than two years remaining.

The South London club’s move for
Pino comes swiftly after the departure of their talismanic forward, Eberechi
Eze, who completed a £60 million transfer to Arsenal last week. Eze was
instrumental in Palace’s historic FA Cup triumph last season, contributing 14
goals and 11 assists in 43 appearances.

Following a quiet summer with only
two arrivals—goalkeeper Walter Benítez on a free transfer and defender Borna
Sosa for £3 million—manager Oliver Glasner expressed confidence after the
weekend’s draw with Nottingham Forest that the club would be active before the
transfer deadline. Palace have also registered interest in Manchester City’s
Swiss defender Manuel Akanji, valued at approximately £15 million.

A product of Las Palmas’ academy,
Pino joined Villarreal in 2017. He broke into the first team in 2020 and was a
key part of the squad that secured a fifth-place finish and UEFA Champions
League qualification last season, netting four times in 34 league matches. The
winger has also earned 15 caps for the Spanish national team, scoring three
goals since his debut in 2021.
