Muscat,
26 May (ONA) — In a pioneering step to strengthen national identity and
preserve cultural heritage, the Children’s Cultural Center, under the Ministry
of Culture, Sports, and Youth, is launching a series of innovative projects aimed
at children and youth. These initiatives seek to reinforce Omani cultural
identity, foster social cohesion, and promote innovation and creativity by
integrating Omani heritage into education—aligning with a vision that balances
heritage preservation with modern-day demands.

Salwa
Saif Al Rashidi, Director of the Children’s Cultural Center, stated that in
line with the Center’s mission to instill Omani cultural identity and raise
youth awareness of their heritage, it continues to introduce interactive
digital projects that blend tradition with innovation. These initiatives
utilize virtual reality, artificial intelligence, and gaming
applications—engaging and contemporary tools to connect younger generations
with their cultural roots.

She
emphasized that these projects go beyond visual appeal or technological
entertainment, aiming instead to build a lasting emotional and intellectual
bond between children and their cultural identity. By presenting Omani heritage
as a dynamic, interactive experience, the Center seeks to instill authentic
Omani values in young minds.

Al
Rashidi added that these initiatives also aim to strengthen national belonging
and identity while promoting Omani culture globally through rich, multilingual
interactive content.

She
explained that these projects align closely with Oman Vision 2040 and the
national cultural strategy—particularly in fostering a creative society,
preserving national identity, advancing digital transformation, and promoting
innovation-based education. The Center aspires to be a cultural knowledge
platform, empowering children to actively contribute to shaping their nation’s
future.

These
initiatives combine enjoyment with learning, embedding core values in youth
while introducing them to their historical and cultural roots.
