Cairo, August 20 (QNA) – Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty and his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan stressed the importance of continuing efforts to implement US President Donald Trump’s peace plan for the Gaza Strip and urging Israel to fulfill the commitments of the first phase and the roadmap, paving the way for implementing the second phase, consolidating the ceasefire, and advancing toward peace and stability.
During a phone call on Thursday, the two ministers said Israel should respond positively to efforts aimed at implementing the US President’s plan, contributing to creating the conditions for carrying out the agreed arrangements.
They also warned against Israel proceeding with the E1 settlement project in the occupied West Bank, stressing that it poses a serious threat to the territorial unity of the Palestinian territories. (QNA)
