Amman, Oct. 20 (Petra) – European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen praised Jordan’s pivotal role, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, in fostering security and stability across the Middle East.
In a post on her X account, von der Leyen said, “Europe deeply values the stabilising role that Jordan continues to play in the Middle East.”
“Together, we are strengthening our partnership to build a future of peace and prosperity in our shared Mediterranean home,” von der Leyen added.
She noted that with a financial and investment package of €3 billion, the EU-Jordan Strategic and Comprehensive Partnership is advancing at full speed.
“And next year, we will mark a new milestone: the first-ever EU-Jordan Summit,” the EU Chief concluded.
