Muscat, 22 Oct (ONA) — Muscat
Stock Exchange (MSX) 30 Index concluded today’s trading session at 5,422.17
points, marking a decline of 36.5 points, equivalent to 0.67 percent, from its
previous close of 5,458.64 points.
Trading activity saw significant
contraction, with total market turnover reaching RO 46,640,638, representing a
substantial decrease of 35.8 percent compared to the previous session’s RO
72,616,508.
According to the official market
report released by the MSX, overall market capitalization decreased by 0.142
percent from the last trading day, settling at approximately RO 30.91 billion.
Non-Omani investor activity showed a
net selling trend, with purchases totalling RO 2,924,000, accounting for 6.27
percent of total market activity. Their sales, however, reached RO 4,026,000,
representing 8.63 percent of market turnover. This resulted in a net decrease
in foreign investment of RO 1,103,000, equivalent to a 2.36 percent decline in
foreign participation.
