Amman, Oct. 20 (Petra) – European Union High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaya Kallas said the Foreign Affairs Council discussed how the EU can fully support the peace plan in Gaza, including providing “additional support for governance and reconstruction.”
Kallas added at the conclusion of a meeting of the Foreign Affairs Council in Luxembourg on Monday that the EU mission is ready for deployment, noting that EU countries are the largest financial supporters of the Palestinian Authority and the largest humanitarian donors to Gaza.
She affirmed that the European bloc keeps the possibility of imposing sanctions on Israel open in an effort to ensure adherence to a complete ceasefire in Gaza.
