European Stocks Rise on Gains in Mining, EnergyBrussels, 29 Jan 2026 (ONA) – European stocks rebounded today, supported by higher oil prices and precious metals, recouping part of the losses they suffered the previous day due to weak earnings in the luxury goods sector. The pan-European STOXX 600 index rose 0.2 percent after falling 0.8 percent a day earlier. The rise in prices led mining company shares to climb 2.9 percent today. Energy sector stocks rose 1.3 percent as oil prices increased, while shares of German software company SAP fell 11.5 percent after it announced fourth-quarter revenues in line with market expectations. Deutsche Bank shares lost 2 percent despite posting their largest annual profit since 2007.—Ends/AG
