Khartoum, Jan. 29, 2026 (SUNA) – The Ministry of Finance announced controls and arrangements for enforcing the 2026 budget across federal ministries, government units, public corporations, and state-owned companies.In a circular issued by Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance Abdullah Ibrahim, the ministry reaffirmed its mandate over public funds, stressed spending rationalization, prohibited unauthorized fees, and mandated electronic revenue collection systems approved by the Central Bank of Sudan (CBOS). The circular also required prior approval from the Ministry of Finance for procurement, contracting, new organizational structures, and externally funded projects.The directives emphasized compliance with financial, accounting, civil service, and procurement laws, and called on audit and accounting bodies to strictly enforce the new controls.AS/BH
