Foreign Minister Discusses Regional Developments with his Counterparts in Sisterly, Friendly NationsMuscat, 1 Mar 2026 (ONA) —- Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, conducted intensive consultations over phone calls with a number of his counterparts in sisterly countries and friendly nations, addressing the rapidly evolving regional developments in light of the Israeli-US war on the Islamic Republic of Iran and the grave repercussions and consequences arising therefrom, which have impacted the security and stability of several countries in the region.During these consultations, the Foreign Minister conveyed the Sultanate of Oman’s deep concern over the attacks that targeted the GCC states and a number of Arab nations, noting that the perpetuation of military escalation does not serve to resolve the ongoing conflict, while underscoring the imperative of addressing its root causes in tandem with the cessation of military operations and containing the crisis and its ramifications for the countries of the region.All parties likewise affirmed the necessity of an immediate halt to all escalatory actions, respect for the sovereignty of states and the principles of international law.
