Kuala Lumpur, 11 February 2026 (SNA) – In a move to strengthen Sudan’s diplomatic capacity building, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Ambassador Mohi-Eddin Salim, met with the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Malaya, Professor Hasniza Zaman Huri, in the presence of the Executive Director of the International Institute of Public Policy and Management (INPUMA), Professor Razali Mahfar, and several university officials.The meeting discussed the launch of specialized training programmes to prepare Sudanese diplomats in public policy, strategic leadership, digital transformation, and decision-making, through the INPUMA Institute, one of Malaysia’s leading leadership development centres.The minister emphasized that investing in human resources and building a modern diplomatic corps represents a fundamental pillar for restoring Sudan’s regional and international role in the post-war and reconstruction phase.For her part, the university administration expressed readiness to offer advanced training programmes, including executive courses, master’s and doctoral programmes, and joint workshops, in addition to exploring mechanisms for sustainable funding and institutional cooperation between Sudan and Malaysia in leadership development.BH/BH
