York, 24 Sep (ONA) — On the sidelines of the 80th session of the
UN General Assembly in New York, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign
Minister met, separately, with Mélanie Joly, Minister of Foreign Affairs
of Canada, Sergei Aleinik, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic
of Belarus, Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, Foreign Minister of the
Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), Rosa Yolanda Mapy, Foreign Minister of
the Republic of Colombia, Constantinos Kombos, Minister of Foreign
Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus, Timčo Mucunski, Minister of Foreign Affairs
of the Republic of North Macedonia and Édouard Bizimana, Foreign Minister
of the Republic of Burundi.
The
meetings reviewed bilateral relations and various regional and international
matters of common concern.
Furthermore,
the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Burundi signed a Memorandum of
Understanding (MoU) in the field of politicial consultations.
The
MoU reflects the two countries’ keenness to boost political and diplomatic
dialogue and to expand coordination regarding regional and international
issues.
Moreover,
the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Colombia signed a MoU pertaining to political
consultations between the two countries.
The
meetings were attended by several officials.
