Amman, Sept 1 (Petra) – German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul on Monday reiterated his warning to Israel against seizing control of Gaza or the West Bank.
According to the German Press Agency (DPA), Wadephul told reporters in Berlin that Germany rejects “any considerations that would involve expelling Palestinians or stripping them of their property.”
He stressed that Gaza must form part of a future Palestinian state within the framework of a two-state solution, noting that the same applies to the West Bank. He also underlined Germany’s opposition to any Israeli attempts to annex land in violation of international law.
“The situation in Gaza remains a matter of grave concern, and the humanitarian conditions are catastrophic,” Wadephul said, urging an end to the war.
