Amman, Feb. 21 (Petra) – The Highway Patrols Department has continued implementing the “Iftar for a Fasting Person” initiative, which began with the iftar of the first day of the holy month of Ramadan and will continue until the end of the blessed month.
Security personnel in the field and on highways across the Kingdom distributed light meals, water, and dates to drivers at iftar time, advising and guiding them to exercise caution and adhere to safe driving in order to reach their destinations safely.
The initiative carries meanings of solidarity, cohesion, and the prevailing trust between citizens and security personnel and embodies religious, humanitarian, and societal values during the holy month, in addition to traffic awareness aimed at providing a safe environment for road users.
The Public Security Directorate (PSD) is implementing a series of Ramadan initiatives aimed at consolidating values and enhancing the security and safety of society, aligned with its commitment to social responsibility and to providing security and reassurance to citizens and residents.
