Inflation in France Cools to 0.4% in JanuaryParis, 18 Feb (ONA) – Data from the French National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (INSEE) showed that France’s inflation rate slowed to 0.4 percent year-on-year in January, compared to a rise of 0.7 percent in December 2025. It said in a statement today that this decline in the pace of inflation was due to the slowdown in the price of services, which recorded an increase of 1.7 percent last January after 2.1 percent in the previous month, in addition to a sharper decline in manufactured goods prices, which fell by 1.2 percent compared to a decline of 0.4 percent in December.
