Amman, Oct. 30 Minister of Investment Tareq Abu Ghazaleh held a series of meetings on Thursday with representatives of international financial and investment companies on the sidelines of the Future Investment Initiative (FII) Conference in Riyadh, to explore opportunities for cooperation in financial technology (FinTech) and digital services.
Abu Ghazaleh met with Omar Addi, Director of Strategic Partnerships at Lulu Financial Holdings, where the two sides discussed opportunities to expand the company’s electronic platform for remittances in the Jordanian market. The meeting also addressed ways to develop digital payment and money transfer channels to facilitate financial services for Jordanian expatriates and strengthen Jordan’s position as a regional hub for FinTech solutions in the region.
The Minister also met with Qais Al-Issa, CEO of Vision Ventures, one of the region’s leading venture capital firms. The discussions focused on expanding the company’s investments in Jordan’s FinTech sector and increasing the number of Jordanian startups within its investment portfolio, given Jordan’s strong technical talent and supportive entrepreneurial ecosystem for innovation and digital transformation.
Abu Ghazaleh emphasized that these meetings come as part of ongoing efforts to attract high-value investments in promising sectors particularly financial technology and digital transformation. He noted that the Ministry is working to facilitate communication between international investors and Jordan’s entrepreneurship ecosystem, while fostering partnerships that support the shift toward a digital economy and create quality job opportunities for Jordanian youth.
These meetings are part of the Ministry of Investment’s engagement program during the Future Investment Initiative Conference, which brings together global business leaders and decision-makers. The conference serves as a key platform for exploring economic and investment cooperation opportunities across the region.
