Irbid, Nov. 19 (Petra) The National Agricultural Research Center (NARC) organized a field day for the turmeric harvest Wednesday at Al-Jinan Farm in Irbid as part of the Center’s Agricultural Innovation and Entrepreneurship Incubator projects.
During the event, NARC Director Ibrahim Rawashdeh emphasized the institution’s role in applying scientific research and innovation to support sustainable agricultural development, making it a cornerstone of Jordan’s economic modernization vision, and turning entrepreneurial ideas into successful production projects.
He noted that the incubator was established to provide a national platform enabling farmers and entrepreneurs to develop their ideas into practical business models through technical knowledge, lab services, and agricultural support, stressing that these services are key to converting innovative concepts into tangible projects.
Nidal Al-Maryan, Executive Director of Al-Jinan Farm, praised the Center’s efforts in transferring knowledge and implementing research outcomes on the ground.
The event was attended by the Directors of the Agriculture Directorates in Irbid, Abdul Hafiz Abu Urabi; Ramtha, Ahed Obaidat, Bani Kinanah, Ahmad Khasawneh; and Al-Wastiyah, Nabil Obaidat; the Director of Ramtha Agricultural Research Center, Yahya Bani Khalaf, along with local farmers and community members.
