Israeli Attacks Continue on Southern LebanonBeirut, 24 Aug 2026 (ONA) — Israeli attacks on southern Lebanon continued, targeting homes and infrastructure, amid military movements in several border towns. Lebanon’s National News Agency reported that Israeli forces blew up a number of homes in the western neighborhood of the border town of Khiam, with successive explosions heard and smoke rising in the surrounding area. Israeli forces also carried out bulldozing operations in the town of Houla and set fire to a number of agricultural fields and properties, while simultaneously blowing up several homes in the town’s western neighborhood. These operations were accompanied by successive explosions and thick plumes of smoke rising across the surrounding area, as fires continued to spread at several locations within the town. In a related development, Lebanon’s National News Agency reported that the bodies of two people were recovered in the Dawhat Kfar Remman area after contact with them was lost yesterday.
