Occupied Jerusalem, October 27 (Petra) – Israeli occupation forces carried out a large-scale raid and arrest campaign in the West Bank on Monday, detaining 21 Palestinians, including several former prisoners.
The Palestinian Prisoners Society said in a statement that the occupation forces raided multiple areas across the West Bank, vandalized homes, and arrested several Palestinians, claiming they were “wanted.”
In occupied Jerusalem, dozens of settlers stormed the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque, the Noble Sanctuary, through the Mughrabi Gate, under heavy police protection.
The Islamic Waqf Department in Jerusalem said that the settlers carried out provocative tours in the mosque’s courtyards and performed Talmudic rituals in the eastern area, amid a large deployment of occupation police securing the incursion.
Separately, the occupation authorities forced a resident of Issawiya, northeast of Jerusalem, to demolish his own home, citing construction without a permit. In addition, occupation forces demolished two houses in the village of Marj Ghazal, north of Jericho.
