Israeli Forces Launch Fresh Incursion into Southern SyriaDamascus, 25 Aug 2026 (ONA) — Israeli forces have launched a fresh incursion into the Ghurfat Mujahim area on the outskirts of Wadi Al-Raqad in western Daraa countryside, southern Syria, and deployed there. Meanwhile, Israeli drones conducted intensive overflights of Abdeen village in the Yarmouk Basin area. The latest incursion came a day after Israeli forces raided the towns of Al-Rafid, Al-Maqar and Saida Al-Hanout in the Quneitra countryside, where they searched farms and detained several civilians before releasing them and withdrawing from the area. Syria has repeatedly condemned Israeli incursions and called on the international community to take decisive action to halt them and compel Israel to fully withdraw from Syrian territory under the 1974 Disengagement Agreement. — Ends/AH
