Ramallah, Jan 28 (Petra) — An Israeli army raid into the city of Jenin and the nearby Jenin refugee camp in the north of the occupied West Bank continued for the eighth day in a row, killing 16 people and injuring dozens and forcing families to evacuate, according to Palestinians sources.
The refugee camp’s Popular Services Committee said 100 homes were demolished or torched amid systematic destruction of infrastructure, and ambulance and civil defense crews were denied access to the areas.
The occupation forces ordered people at the eastern entrance to the camp to evacuate before demolishing homes as military bulldozers destroyed roads and service infrastructure and drones scoured the area from the sky.
Elsewhere in the West Bank, Israeli occupation forces arrested 25 Palestinians, including former prisoners, during raids across various areas, the Palestinian Prisoners and Ex Prisoners Affairs Authority said.
The arrests took place in Tulkarm, Hebron, Nablus, Ramallah, Bethlehem and occupied East Jerusalem, with reports of abuse, home and infrastructure damage and vandalism.
