Amman, Oct. 14 (Petra) – Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani has announced his country’s intention to appoint Ambassador Bruno Archei, Italy’s Permanent Representative to the UN agencies in Rome, as the Foreign Ministry’s Special Envoy to Gaza.
According to Aki News, Tajani said Tuesday that the Italian government has begun assessing what assistance it can provide and has already assembled hundreds of tons of food supplies.
He added that Italy will accelerate the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, noting that some shipments have already arrived, while reaffirming that “we are all committed to helping the Palestinian people.”
Tajani acknowledged the complexity of the situation, emphasizing the need for daily efforts to ensure the implementation of all agreements following a two-year war, referring to recent tensions and mutual accusations between Hamas and Israel over alleged truce violations.
