Amman, Sept. 2 (Petra) – The Independent Election Commission (IEC) said “Jahez-Ready” electoral training platform continues to receive applications from Jordanians interested in working in elections.
The IEC added that the platform has witnessed “significant interaction” from users since its launch two weeks ago.
In a statement on Tuesday, the commission noted the “high” turnout reflects the applicants’ interest to engage as temporary electoral staff and obtain a training certificate from the platform after completing educational courses.
The IEC stated this certificate qualifies holders to compete for job titles within the electoral teams, as a perquisite requirement to work within the commission’s staff.
To date, the IEC announced some individuals have completed their training and submitted applications for testing.
On its goals, the portal aims to build the voting staffs’ capability in managing the electoral process and enhancing their field and organizational readiness as part of the IEC’s preparations for the upcoming elections.
