Amman, Feb 11 (Petra) – Specialized inspection and monitoring teams from the Jordan Food and Drug Authority (JFDA) carried out 331 field inspections on Wednesday across its branches in various regions of the Kingdom, targeting food establishments, including shopping malls and wholesale and retail food outlets.
The JFDA said in a statement that these inspections resulted in warnings being issued to 167 establishments, the suspension of 7 businesses, and the closure of one facility, a cake workshop and its supplies, in addition to the suspension of a school canteen for violating health requirements.
The statement added that the main violations detected included low compliance with health and hygiene standards and failure by some establishments to obtain necessary licenses, with measures being taken against violators.
