Jordan Customs Adds 14 Companies to National Golden List Program

Amman, Oct. 14 (Petra) – The Jordan Customs Department on Tuesday added 14 Jordanian companies to the National Golden List Program in the field of imports during an honoring ceremony held at the Amman Customs Center, attended by directors of relevant institutions, regulatory bodies, and company representatives.

Director-General of Jordan Customs, Brig. Gen. Ahmad Al-Akalik, said the department is implementing a comprehensive modernization process focused on risk management tools through an integrated system expected to be launched in the next phase. The goal, he added, is to form a unified team comprising all relevant regulatory entities including the Ministries of Agriculture and Environment, the Jordan Standards and Metrology Organization, the Jordan Food and Drug Administration, the Energy and Minerals Regulatory Commission, and the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission, in addition to Jordan Customs.

He explained that this integration will reduce regulatory burdens on the business sector and enhance the investment climate.

During the ceremony, success stories from several companies newly listed on the National Golden List were presented, and certificates and shields were awarded.
With the latest additions, the total number of companies enrolled in the program has reached 22 since its launch in 2020.
