Amman, Dec. 2 (Petra) – Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti on Tuesday received Italian Chief of Defence Gen. Luciano Portolano and his accompanying delegation at the Jordanian Armed Forces – Arab Army (JAF) headquarters.
Huneiti and the delegation, in the presence of senior JAF officers and the Italian defense attaché, discussed areas of military and defense cooperation of mutual interest, in addition to the latest regional and international developments and the countries’ joint efforts to promote global security and stability.
He underscored the deep and longstanding ties between Jordan and Italy, noting the Armed Forces’ commitment to leveraging shared expertise and capabilities across various fields.
For his part, Gen. Portolano commended the pivotal and distinguished role of the Jordan Armed Forces in enhancing regional security and stability, praising the high professionalism of its personnel.
