Amman, Nov. 30 (Petra) — Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs Ayman Safadi on Saturday met with Takeshi Okubo, the Special Assistant to the Japanese Minister for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador in charge of Gaza Rebuilding Assistance
The meeting addressed ways to strengthen bilateral relations in sectors of mutual interest, as well as developments in the region.
Safadi stressed the need for joint efforts to uphold the Gaza ceasefire agreement, ensure full implementation of its provisions, and secure the immediate and sufficient delivery of humanitarian aid to the Strip.
He also highlighted the importance of moving toward the second phase of the ceasefire agreement, advancing Gaza’s reconstruction, and linking stability to a clear political horizon based on the two-state solution.
Safadi expressed appreciation for Japan’s continued support of humanitarian efforts in Gaza and its ongoing coordination with Jordan within international efforts aimed at ending the humanitarian crisis in the Strip.
