Amman, Jan. 12 (Petra) — The Ministries of Interior and Tourism and Antiquities on Monday announced the launch of a project linking the electronic visa system with Jordan Pass, a unified ticket system.
The project, implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship and in coordination with relevant security agencies, aims to facilitate entry procedures for foreign visitors who purchase the Jordan Pass, enabling them to obtain an electronic visa upon completing the ticket purchase prior to arrival in the Kingdom.
The initiative is expected to streamline and expedite entry procedures for foreign nationals arriving through border crossings, contributing to a smoother and more efficient travel experience.
The ministries said the project aligns with the Economic Modernization Vision and forms part of ongoing efforts to simplify visa and residency procedures for foreign visitors. It also supports national efforts to promote tourism across its various segments and enhance Jordan’s attractiveness as a tourism destination.
