Amman, Dec. 3 (Petra) — Jordan has achieved a new milestone for the third consecutive year on the the Global Knowledge Index (GKI) 2025, rising to 73rd place out of 195 countries worldwide, compared to 88th out of 141 in 2024 and 97th out of 133 in 2023.
According to the Executive Program of the 2023-2025 Economic Modernization Vision, which includes implementing action plans to enhance Jordan’s competitiveness across several international indicators, including the Global Knowledge Index, the government approved an executive action plan to improve Jordan’s ranking. This plan was prepared by the Ministry of Education and endorsed by the economic modernization and development committee, which oversees all efforts related to this indicator.
A statement issued on Wednesday by the Ministry of Education highlighted that over the past years, the ministry has coordinated with relevant authorities to analyze Jordan’s results in the index, identify priorities for improving competitiveness, disseminate the plan, and monitor its implementation.
This progress reflects the Kingdom’s steadfast commitment to developing its knowledge ecosystem and enhancing its competitiveness in international indicators, in line with the objectives of the Economic Modernization Vision, which aims to strengthen Jordan’s knowledge-based economy rooted in creativity and technology.
