Amman, Feb 3 (Petra) – The Jordan Post Company has issued a special commemorative postage stamp titled “The Centenary of the International Federation of Philately,” to mark Jordan’s participation in the Dubai 2026 World Stamp Exhibition.
According to a statement by Jordan Post on Tuesday, the issue will be released during the exhibition’s events, as part of the postal company’s efforts to document national participation in international forums and enhance the Kingdom’s cultural and postal heritage.
The issue consists of one stamp valued at JD1.5, in addition to a first-day cover with the stamp affixed, priced at JD2, as well as a postcard valued at JD1.5.
The commemorative issue marks 100 years since the establishment of the International Federation of Philately (FIP) and reflects the cultural and documentary role of postage stamps in commemorating globally significant historical occasions, while also strengthening Jordan’s presence and active participation in international philatelic events.
Those wishing to obtain the issue may visit the Museum and Stamps Directorate at the Jordan Post headquarters building in Muqabalain, next to the Radio and Television building, starting from Sunday morning.
