Amman, Jan. 5 (Petra) –Jordan’s Under-23 football team will face Vietnam at 2:30 p.m. tomorrow, Tuesday, on the auxiliary pitch of King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, in the opening match of its participation in the AFC U-23 Championship finals.
The Olympic team will conduct its final training session today under the leadership of Moroccan head coach Omar Najhi, as preparations continue to finalize the squad that will take the field in tomorrow’s match.
Jordan will play its second match of the tournament against Saudi Arabia before concluding the group stage against Kyrgyzstan.
According to the tournament format, the 16 participating teams have been divided into four groups, with four teams in each group. The teams compete in a single round-robin format, with the top two teams from each group qualifying for the quarterfinals.
