Amman, Feb 18 (Petra) – The Jordan Valley Authority on Wednesday signed an agreement to launch the “Development of Human Resources Policies and Procedures” project in partnership with Agile Consulting Firm. The project is implemented with support from the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) and funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.

During the signing ceremony, Secretary-General of the Jordan Valley Authority Hisham Al-Haisa discussed with the newly appointed Governance of the Water Sector Project Director at GIZ, Jasmin Freischlad, the authority’s mandate and its vital role in managing and developing water resources, as well as areas of cooperation and project activities benefiting the authority.

The project aims to strengthen the role of the Human Resources Directorate within the authority, enabling it to serve as a strategic partner to other departments and contribute to achieving the institution’s strategic and organizational objectives.

Implementation will continue through the end of 2026, in alignment with the directives of the Civil Service and Public Administration Authority, the Public Sector Modernization Roadmap, and the National Water Strategy 2023–2040.
