Amman, Oct. 23 (Petra) — The national women’s beach volleyball team, comprising Rahaf Haimour and Shahad Awamleh, secured the silver medal at the West Asian Championship, which concluded in Muscat, Oman.
The Jordanian duo won their group stage matches against Oman and Saudi Arabia, then defeated Saudi Arabia in the quarterfinals and Oman in the semifinals before losing to Lebanon in the final match held on Tuesday evening.
The team was led by the national coach, accompanied by a federation representative and a physiotherapist.
