Beijing, Nov. 4 (Petra) –A Jordanian delegation is taking part in a cultural training program in Beijing designed for government officials from developing countries. The program, organized by the College of Chinese Language and Culture from November 4 to 24, focuses on deepening participants’ understanding of Chinese society and traditions.
Representing Jordan in the program are Jameel Barmawi and Saleh Al-Khawaldeh from the Jordan News Agency (Petra), along with Mohammad Asha and Ruba Al-Qadi from the Ministry of Culture.
Commissioned by China’s Ministry of Commerce, the program aims to promote cross-cultural dialogue, knowledge sharing, and stronger ties between China and developing nations.
Participants will attend lectures and interactive sessions on China’s political, economic, and cultural landscape, in addition to visiting major heritage sites such as the Great Wall and the Temple of Heaven.
The program also includes study tours to several cities in Hainan Province (Haikou, Wenchang, Qionghai, and Wuzhishan) where participants will explore China’s advancements in technology, space, and medical tourism, as well as the region’s unique cultural identity.
Established in 1950, the College of Chinese Language and Culture is a leading institution in teaching Chinese language and culture to international students and officials from around the world.
