JPACO Boosts Agricultural Exports to Eastern Europe

Jordan Valley, Jan. 2 (Petra) – The Jordanian-Palestinian Company for Marketing Agricultural Products (JPACO) exported 350 tons of various peppers to Hungary, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic in December 2024.

JPACO Director General, Abdul Halim Dugan, told the Jordan News Agency (Petra) that these exports were made under prior agreements with farmers in the Jordan Valley. He revealed that the company plans to double these export volumes in the coming months.

Dugan emphasized JPACO’s vital role in establishing effective marketing channels for farmers’ products within Jordan and abroad.

The company’s mission focuses on marketing Jordanian and Palestinian agricultural products internationally, particularly targeting Eastern Europe and Gulf countries. It also aims to enhance product quality, introduce post-harvest technologies, and create a competitive edge in global markets.

These efforts, Dugan noted, contribute to bolstering the national economy, supporting the resilience of farmers in Jordan and Palestine, and generating job opportunities for local communities.

JPACO, founded in early 2022, is jointly owned by the Jordanian and Palestinian governments, with a capital of JD12 million. The company alternates its presidency between the two countries every two years.
