Amman, Jan. 28 (Petra) – The Jordan Tourism Board (JTB), in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, participated in organizing the second edition of the Jordanian Universities Exhibition in Saudi Arabia for 2026, recently launched in Riyadh and Tabuk.
According to a JTB statement issued on Wednesday, the exhibition, sponsored by Jordan’s Ambassador to Riyadh, Haitham Abul Foul, featured 20 public and private Jordanian universities and colleges, in addition to specialized academies in aviation, culinary arts, and hospitality. The event was held as part of the national strategic plan to attract international students for the period 2023–2027.
The board said its participation in overseas education fairs is part of a strategic vision to promote Jordan as a leading educational destination, alongside its established tourism and cultural standing. It noted that such exhibitions provide an effective platform for direct engagement with students and parents, offering a comprehensive picture of Jordan’s educational environment, modern academic programs, and facilities available to international students.
It added that educational tourism is a key driver of the national economy, contributing to long-term stays and stimulating tourism and service sectors. The JTB emphasized that integrating higher education with cultural and tourism activities offers international students a well-rounded experience and enhances Jordan’s regional competitiveness as a preferred destination for study and living.
