Kuwait’s Defense Ministry: 14 Hostile Drones Detected in 24 Hours

Kuwait, March 15 (QNA) – Kuwait’s Ministry of Defense announced on Sunday that the armed forces detected 14 hostile drones that violated the country’s airspace over the past 24 hours, eight of which were destroyed.
Official spokesperson for the ministry Saud Al-Atwan said during a media briefing on the latest field developments in light of the Iranian aggression on Kuwait that falling debris from the destroyed drones caused some material damage and left three members of the armed forces with minor injuries.
The injured personnel received the necessary treatment and their health condition is stable, he added.
The spokesman noted that three hostile drones targeted the Kuwait International Airport, causing damage to the radar system without any human casualties, while three other drones fell outside the threat area and posed no danger.
He also said that a task force from the Kuwait National Guard managed to intercept and destroy five hostile drones within its areas of responsibility as part of coordination and cooperation among military bodies.
Meanwhile, the Explosive Ordnance Disposal unit of the land forces engineering corps handled seven reports of suspicious objects and safely disposed of them according to the procedures in place. (QNA)
