Madaba, Feb 23 (Petra) – The Madaba Greater Municipality on Monday organized a charity iftar for 150 orphans in the governorate as part of the social solidarity atmosphere in Madaba, supported by businessman Waddah Jumaiyan.
Head of the municipality committee Haitham Jowainat said the municipality is keen to organize social activities that go beyond the ordinary by bringing together orphans and their families in cooperation with orphan charitable associations, including the “Al-Nufus Al-Samha” association, to spread a spirit of light and the fragrance of the Moab plains in people’s hearts.
He added that the municipality is keen to partner with benefactors in the governorate, both Muslims and Christians, in such charitable activities that express the spirit of brotherhood and tolerance within society.
Attendees expressed their appreciation to the Madaba Municipality and event stakeholders, who brought joy to the hearts of orphaned children and their families.
