New York, Oct. 20 (Petra) – Major U.S. stock indexes rose on Monday, while the price of West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude oil remained steady at $57.50 per barrel.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 516 points, rising to 46,706 points, an increase of 1.12 percent.
The Nasdaq, which focuses on heavy technology stocks, climbed 310 points to 22,990 points, up 1.37 percent.
The Standard & Poor’s 500 (S&P 500) also rose by approximately 71 points to reach 6,735 points, an increase of 1.07 percent.
