Amman, Feb. 3 (Petra) – The Ministry of Social Development said on Tuesday it provided alternative housing to two families in Mafraq Governorate after the roofs of their homes collapsed.
The ministry said teams from the governorate’s development directorate moved immediately to the site to assess the situation and address the families’ needs. Under the direct supervision of Minister of Social Development Wafaa Bani Mustafa, arrangements were made to secure safe accommodation for the affected families.
In coordination with a charitable organization, the families were evacuated and relocated to alternative housing. The ministry also delivered emergency relief and humanitarian assistance to ensure their safety and cover basic needs.
The ministry said the two families were not previously registered under the housing program for low-income families and were advised to complete the required procedures and submit formal applications for review in line with approved criteria.
The ministry said it will continue to follow up on the cases and handle urgent humanitarian situations as part of its social protection responsibilities.
