Azoum, riding Cacota, delivered a flawless performance in the night event’s two-phase round, clearing obstacles set between 1.30 and 1.35 meters. He completed the course in 43.43 seconds without penalties.
He edged out French rider Florent Jeannin, who rode Ella Du Lys and posted a faster time of 37.10 seconds but incurred 4 penalty points. Both were the only riders to advance to the final after completing the first stage without faults.
The annual competition, organized by the Royal Guard, features 19 events and draws top riders from equestrian clubs affiliated with the Royal Moroccan Federation of Equestrian Sports (FRMSE). The event will conclude on April 13 with the Grand Prix of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
