(ONA) — Muscat Stock Exchange (MSX) 30 Index concluded today’s trading session
at 5,370.44 points, registering a decline of 51.7 points, equivalent to 0.95
percent, from its previous close of 5,422.17 points.
Trading
activity witnessed a substantial contraction, with total market turnover
reaching RO 32,969,743, representing a significant decrease of 29.3 percent
compared to the previous session’s RO 46,640,638.
According to
the official market report released by the MSX, the overall market
capitalization decreased by 0.211 percent from the last trading day, settling
at approximately RO 30.84 billion.
Non-Omani
investor activity showed increased participation, with purchases totalling RO
4,532,000, accounting for 13.75 percent of total market activity. Their sales
amounted to RO 3,862,000, representing 11.71 percent of market turnover. This
resulted in a net increase in foreign investment of RO 670,000, equivalent to a
2.03 percent rise in foreign net investment activity.
