NAF graduates 28 women participants in textile training course

Amman, October 19 (Petra) – The National Aid Fund (NAF) celebrated the graduation of participants in a specialized training course, themed: “Textile Inspection and Quality Control,” implemented by the Garment Design Center, with the participation of 28 women, who are NAF beneficiaries.

Talking at the graduation ceremony, the NAF’s Director General, Khitam Shneikat, said the training comes within the framework of the National Social Protection Strategy, as part of the fund’s efforts to empower the families’ members benefiting from its services to receive the necessary skills to enter the labor market.

According to a NAF statement Sunday, the course is the first of its kind in this field, held in response to the growing need for the fashion specialty in the labor market, given the “high” demand for this profession by workshops and factories operating in the textile sector.

Hassan Nosour, Director of the Garment Design Center, said the participants acquired “advanced” skills that qualify them to enter the labor market and contribute “effectively” to supply the garment and textile sector with qualified workers.
