Amman, Oct. 28 (Petra) – The Correction and Rehabilitation Centers Department, in cooperation with the Abdul Hameed Shoman Foundation, inaugurated a new library at the Women’s Correction and Rehabilitation Center on Tuesday, as part of joint ongoing collaboration to strengthen Jordan’s comprehensive rehabilitation system.
The library inauguration reflects the “strategic” efforts of the Public Security Directorate (PSD) to improve the inmate’s rehabilitative environment, enhance their knowledge and skills, instill positive values, and support their reintegration into society as productive members after serving their sentences.
The newly designed library provides inmates with access to a “wide” range of books and learning resources, aligned with the center’s educational and rehabilitation programs, which represent a “qualitative” addition to the facility.
Senior PSD officers and Abdul Hameed Shoman Foundation attended the inauguration ceremony.
