Bahrain Explore Strengthening Industrial Partnership
Muscat,
3 Jun (ONA) — Qais Mohammed Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry, and
Investment Promotion, today received Abdulla Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry
and Commerce of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The
two sides discussed ways to enhance collaboration between Omani and Bahraini
factories by leveraging available production inputs in both countries. They
also explored joint promotion of industrial products to attract foreign
investments and enhance the competitiveness of national industries in regional
and international markets.
Both
ministers emphasized the importance of implementing memorandums of
understanding signed between the two nations, which were among the outcomes of
the historic visit of King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of the Kingdom of Bahrain
to the Sultanate of Oman in January 2025. They also stressed the need to build
on existing agreements to further develop industrial and trade cooperation.
The
meeting was attended by Pankaj Khimji, Advisor for Foreign Trade and
International Cooperation at the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Investment
Promotion, Dr. Jumaa Ahmed Al Kaabi, Bahrain’s Ambassador to Oman, along with
several officials from both sides.
