Indonesia Hold Political Consultations in Muscat
Muscat,
24 Nov 2025 (ONA) — The Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Indonesia today
held the 2nd session of political talks in Muscat.
The
Omani side was headed by Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Harthy, Undersecretary of
the Foreign Ministry. The Indonesian side was headed by Mohammad Anis Matta,
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia.
During
the session, they reviewed the bilateral relations between the two countries in
various fields, especially in the areas of economic cooperation, investment,
and cultural exchange. They also exchanged views and consulted on the most
prominent regional and international issues of common concern.
At
the conclusion of the session, the two sides signed an Agreement on Mutual
Exemption from Visas for holders of diplomatic, special, and service passports
between the Governments of the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Indonesia.
The
meeting was attended by Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al Hosni, Head of the
Asia and Pacific Department at the Foreign Ministry, Mohamad Irzan Djohan,
Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to the Sultanate of Oman, and a number
of officials from both sides.
