Participates in GCC Financial Authorities Meeting
Kuwait, 21 Apr (ONA) — The Sultanate of Oman participated today in the 30th
meeting of the Committee of Heads of Financial Market Authorities (or their
equivalents) in the GCC countries, held in the State of Kuwait.
The meeting discussed several topics related to enhancing integration among GCC
financial markets, including follow-ups on initiatives referred by the GCC
Capital Markets Committee, recommendations from technical working groups on
investment awareness, training, and strategic integration of financial markets
in member states.
Participants reviewed the latest updates on the cross-registration regulations
and current developments in GCC capital markets, in addition to discussing
emerging matters.
Oman’s participation reflects its commitment to strengthening regional
cooperation and exchanging expertise among financial market regulatory bodies,
contributing to the development of the investment environment and achieving
