Oman, Thailand Explore Economic
Partnerships

Muscat, 14 Jan 2026 (ONA) — The
Omani-Thai Business Forum, organized by the Oman Chamber of Commerce and
Industry (OCCI) today, laid emphasis on consolidating economic partnerships
between the private sectors of the Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of
Thailand. The forum reflected the keenness of the OCCI to enhance Oman’s international
economic relations and support the presence of the Omani private sector in
global markets.

The forum focused on vital sectors, including
trade, agriculture, health and beauty, textiles, food processing and jewellery.
These target sectors are experiencing rapid growth and they provide promising
opportunities in both countries, supported by the development of supply chains
and expanding regional and international demand.

Faisal Abdullah Al Rowas, Chairman
of the Board of Directors of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said
that the forum highlighted the depth of the growing Omani-Thai economic
relations and embodied the keenness of the two countries to build more
diversified and sustainable trade and investment partnerships.

Al Rowas pointed out that the
meeting offered a significant opportunity to explore vistas for expanding
cooperation between the private sectors in both countries and enable them to
discover new areas for economic integration.

He stressed the importance of the
strategic location of the Sultanate of Oman as a gateway to the GCC and
regional markets.

For her part, Warunee Pan-Krajang,
Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Sultanate of Oman, commended the
role of the OCCI in organizing economic meetings and hosting trade delegations.
She said that such initiatives provide a cornerstone in encouraging direct
communication among business communities contribute
to building sustainable economic partnerships based on shared interests.

Warunee pointed out that the
Omani-Thai Business Forum provided a suitable opportunity to explore new areas
of cooperation, exchange expertise and understand the business climate in
the Sultanate of Oman. The participating Thai delegation
included representatives from companies that offer a range of products and
services across several vital sectors, she said, noting that “Participating in the forum reflects the
Thai private sector’s desire to expand its presence in the Omani market and
build long-term relationships with Omani counterparts.”
