7 Jan 2026 (ONA) — Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister,
received a phone call this evening from Yván Gil Pinto, Minister of Foreign
Affairs of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
During
the call, the two ministers discussed the latest developments related to the
Republic of Venezuela. They emphasized the importance of respecting international
law and adhering to the paths of dialogue and diplomacy to safeguard the
sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity of nations.
The
Venezuelan Minister expressed his country’s appreciation for the Sultanate of
Oman’s firm positions and its call to ensure security and peace for Venezuela,
as well as peaceful coexistence between nations.
For
his part, the Foreign Minister expressed his appreciation for the level of
existing bilateral relations. He welcomed Venezuela’s intention to open a
resident embassy in Muscat, noting the positive impact this will have on
strengthening cooperation and supporting trade and economic partnership
opportunities between the two countries and their peoples.
